We are excited to share our official 2025–2026 school grade results and celebrate the incredible progress our students, staff, and families have made together this year.
Port Salerno Elementary earned a school grade of "C," achieving 53% of the total possible points—just one percentage point away from earning a "B." While we always strive for the highest levels of achievement, this result reflects meaningful growth and shows that we are moving in the right direction.
Highlights Worth Celebrating
🌟 70% of our Lowest 25% of Readers Made Learning Gains in ELA
This is an outstanding accomplishment and demonstrates that our students who needed the most support made significant progress.
📚 58% ELA Learning Gains
Students across grade levels continued to grow as readers, reflecting the hard work of our teachers and the support of families at home.
➕ Strong Mathematics Growth
Our students achieved 57% Math Learning Gains and 56% Math Proficiency, showing continued improvement and success in mathematics.
🔬 Science Achievement Increased by 14 Percentage Points
Science proficiency grew from 32% to 46%, a remarkable improvement that highlights our focus on vocabulary development, nonfiction reading, and hands-on learning experiences.
Looking Ahead
While we did not reach our goal of a "B" this year, being just one point away is a testament to the dedication of our students, teachers, support staff, and families. Every lesson taught, every book read at home, every family event attended, and every encouraging conversation contributed to this growth.
As we prepare for another school year, we remain focused on helping every Stingray succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. With our strong momentum and continued partnership between school and home, we are confident that even greater achievements are ahead.
