SFHS Bulldogs

Bulldog Families โ€“

We have received a few inquiries about Dawg Time and how this time will be used on our campus. Itโ€™s important for parents to know that the Florida Department of Education has adopted resiliency standards for all students in grades 6 -12.  The newly adopted standards incorporate key resiliency skills, including grit, perseverance, gratitude, personal responsibility, volunteerism, critical thinking, problem-solving, empathy, citizenship and honesty, which are necessary for students to succeed in the classroom and beyond.

The Martin County School District is using the state-aligned Navigate 360 program to provide this required instruction to students.  Navigate 360 is a digital platform that allows schools to incorporate these important resiliency standards into class time.  To learn more about this state initiative, please click here: https://www.fldoe.org/newsroom/latest-news/icymi-first-lady-casey-desantis-announces-next-steps-in-floridas-first-in-the-nation-approach-to-create-a-culture-of-resiliency-and-incentivize-parental-involvement.stml#:~:text=In%20October%202022%2C%20the%20State,%2C%20mentorship%2C%20citizenship%20and%20honesty.

Please do not hesitate to contact our school with any questions.  Thank you for your continued support and for choosing to partner with South Fork High School for your childโ€™s education.
