SFHS Bulldogs

Bulldog Families –

We have received a few inquiries about Dawg Time and how this time will be used on our campus. It’s important for parents to know that the Florida Department of Education has adopted resiliency standards for all students in grades 6 -12.  The newly adopted standards incorporate key resiliency skills, including grit, perseverance, gratitude, personal responsibility, volunteerism, critical thinking, problem-solving, empathy, citizenship and honesty, which are necessary for students to succeed in the classroom and beyond.

The Martin County School District is using the state-aligned Navigate 360 program to provide this required instruction to students.  Navigate 360 is a digital platform that allows schools to incorporate these important resiliency standards into class time.  To learn more about this state initiative, please click here: https://www.fldoe.org/newsroom/latest-news/icymi-first-lady-casey-desantis-announces-next-steps-in-floridas-first-in-the-nation-approach-to-create-a-culture-of-resiliency-and-incentivize-parental-involvement.stml#:~:text=In%20October%202022%2C%20the%20State,%2C%20mentorship%2C%20citizenship%20and%20honesty.

Please do not hesitate to contact our school with any questions.  Thank you for your continued support and for choosing to partner with South Fork High School for your child’s education.
