South Fork High School is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its talented student artists who recently participated in the 40th Annual Marvin S. Cone High School Juried Art Show, presented by MartinArts. This highly competitive exhibit, which runs from April 28 through June 20, 2026, showcases exceptional artwork from students across Martin County, including Martin County, Jensen Beach, and South Fork High Schools, The Pine School, and Clark Advanced Learning Center.

Each year, art teachers select only the strongest student pieces for submission, making acceptance into the show an honor in itself. The exhibition features a wide range of artistic categories, including photography, painting, sculpture, mixed media, printmaking, and drawing.

SFHS students made an impressive showing this year, earning top placements among a talented field of young artists:

  • Bella McGee – 2nd Place, Sculpture 🥈

  • Ace Campi – 3rd Place, Drawing 🥉

  • Katy Johnson – 3rd Place, Sculpture 🥉

In addition to these award winners, several other South Fork students were selected to have their work displayed in the exhibit, highlighting the depth of talent within the school’s art program:
Silas Landefeld, Keila Flores, Xelha Alcala, Kamryn Hoffman, Jordan Angelo, and Porter Knox.

The awards reception was held on April 30 at the Court House Cultural Center Gallery, where students, families, and community members gathered to celebrate the creativity and accomplishments of these young artists. The exhibit itself continues to draw visitors, offering an inspiring look at student artwork from across the county.

South Fork’s art teacher, Shelby Hart, shared pride in her students’ accomplishments, noting that many of the featured works were created during a challenging year. Despite obstacles, students demonstrated resilience, dedication, and remarkable creativity.

The Marvin S. Cone Art Show, established in 1987, honors its founder’s commitment to encouraging young artists and recognizing their achievements. For many students, it serves as both an opportunity for recognition and a stepping stone toward future artistic pursuits.

The South Fork High School community congratulates all participating students for their hard work and success. Their achievements reflect not only individual talent but also the strength and spirit of the Bulldog art program. ❤️🖤

Community members are encouraged to visit the exhibit before it closes on June 20 to experience the incredible work firsthand and support these talented young artists.
