Students from across the Martin County School District were recognized by the Martin County Supervisor of Elections Office for their creativity and artistic talent through several civic-themed art contests.
Before the end of the 25-26 school year, Supervisor of Elections Vicki Davis and Chief Deputy Kherri Anderson presented awards to students whose artwork highlighted civic engagement, patriotism, and the importance of voting.
Jensen Beach High School student Shaunee Scott was named the winner of the 2026 “I Voted Sticker Contest,” earning a $200 award. Her design will be given to every resident who votes in Martin County at the next election.
Students were also recognized in the Color Me Patriotic Contest. South Fork High School student Hannah Mendez received first place and a $250 award. Martin County High School students Joanna Huynh and Kaitlyn Spero earned second and third place, respectively.
Hidden Oaks Middle School students swept the competition in the Chick-fil-A Middle School Art Contest. Sixth-grader Evelyn Gettings earned first place, followed by fellow sixth-grader Gabriella Hodder in second place. Eighth-grader Bailey Concannon received third place. All three students are taught by art teacher Michelle Foglia.
In addition, Felix A. Williams Elementary School student Juniper Urbay was recognized as the Future Voter Contest winner. Her design will be available for children who attend the polls with their families at the next election.
The Martin County School District congratulates these talented student artists and thanks the Martin County Supervisor of Elections Office for providing opportunities that encourage creativity, civic awareness, and student engagement.
