Public Schools Week 2026

The Martin County School District spent Public Schools Week highlighting the people, partnerships and opportunities that make public education meaningful for students and families across the community.

Through a series of “Public School Proud” features, students, educators, staff members and parents shared personal perspectives on the impact of public schools — reinforcing a common theme: student success is built through strong relationships, dedicated professionals and a connected community.

🍎 Because Every Student Deserves Opportunity: Indiantown Middle School students reflected on how public education has encouraged them to try new activities, build confidence and discover new possibilities for their futures. Watch the video.

🍎 Because Great Teachers Change Lives: Another feature focused on the lasting impact educators have on students. Martin County High School teacher Chanda Leon, the District’s 2025–2026 Teacher of the Year, shared that teaching extends far beyond delivering lessons. Watch the video.
