The Martin County School District will reference the Department of Education Guide to Acceptable Majors Chart referenced below to determine eligibility for the advanced degree supplement. Please note that in order to be eligible for this supplement, the degree major must appear/match on the employee's valid Florida Teaching Certificate. For example: Degree in Biology - Certified in Biology. Degree in School Counseling - Certified in School Counseling.

As of 7/1/24, the MCSD will also award a supplement for advanced degrees that are related to Education. Examples include but are not limited to: Education Leadership, Education, Curriculum & Instruction, etc.
