Health Savings Account (HSA)

Health Savings Accounts are tax-advantaged, member-owned accounts that let you save pretax dollars for current or future qualified medical expenses. Unlike Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), you own your HSA. That means your entire balance stays in the account until you use it. Each contribution you make reduces your taxable income and is automatically deducted from your paycheck and deposited into the HSA.  Participating employees must re-elect the dollar amount they wish to have deducted each plan year.
