Our enrollment process is now available online via the FOCUS Parent Portal!

MCSD is accepting registrations for incoming Pre-K, Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK), Kindergarten and new students across all grade levels for the current 2024-2025 school year. The 2024-2025 school year will began on August 12, 2024.

Families enrolling in the Martin County School District may complete their registration forms via the FOCUS Parent Portal. All parents/caregivers of students who will be new to the District are encouraged to sign up for a FOCUS Parent Portal account that will allow them to complete this process.

Throughout the school year, families may access their FOCUS Parent Portal account to review important student information such as report cards, grades, attendance and assessment results. Families will also be able to access back-to-school forms in FOCUS, such as the emergency contact form and all parental consent disclosures.

Creating a FOCUS Parent Portal Account

Parents/Caregivers must create a FOCUS Parent Portal Account or sign in to an existing FOCUS Parent Portal Account before completing online registration.

Linking a Student to FOCUS Parent Portal Account

Parents/Caregivers - Once you have created a FOCUS Parent Portal account, please gather your child's Student ID, Birth Date, and last 4 digits of SSN( if you provided their full SSN when creating your account, otherwise use four zeroes -0000) to link a student to the account. 

  • Click "Link a Student to your FOCUS Parent Portal Account"

  • Sign in with your registered email and password if needed

  • Click "I would like to ADD A CHILD who is already enrolled."

  • Fill in required fields and click "Add Student"

  • Repeat for each child

  • Click "I am FINISHED adding students. Please take me to the Portal"

Documents Needed to Register

  1. If registering AFTER the school year has begun, you will need a withdrawal form from the previous school. It must include school name, address and phone number so we may request copies of any credits.

  2. Transcripts (if applicable) with documents relating to special education needs (IEP, NORA, etc.).

  3. If registering as an incoming freshman from a private schools, proof of 8th grade promotion, final grades, and EOC results.

  4. Birth Certificate

  5. Health records including Immunizations: private schools and out of state students MUST provide evidence of physical exam within 1 year of enrollment (Sports Physicals are not a substitute), and Immunizations/Shot records on Florida Health Form #680.

  6. Two (2) proofs of residency: MUST be in the name of the parent(s) or legal guardian and must have the same address to be acceptable.

    Documents accepted:

    1. Current utility bill with service address indicated (online instructions: sign in --> click View bill --> click Download bill --> print it)

    2. Current year property tax bill

    3. Deed of home

    4. Lease agreement with name of tenant, landlord, and contact information for all parties; agreement must contain expiration date. A renewed lease must be provided to the school registrar.

    5. Mortgage

    6. Home purchase contract including closing date and a copy of property deed to be provided in thirty (30) days

    7. Declaration of Domicile from the County Records Department

    8. State of Florida drivers license

    9. State of Florida Identification card
