In November 2018, Martin County voters generously approved a half-cent sales tax increase to provide funding for a variety of critical capital projects in the Martin County School District.

Bessey Creek Elementary School - Chiller Plant Pump Replacement, Security Camera Installation.
Chiller project is in process, camera installation is complete.
Citrus Grove Elementary School - Security Camera Installation, Front Lobby Hardening
Camera installation is complete. Lobby hardening project is underway.
Crystal Lake Elementary School - Gutter Replacement, Security Camera Installation
Both projects have been completed.

Jensen Beach Elementary School - Complete School Replacement
June 16, 2020 - The Martin County School Board approved staff's recommendation to award the Construction Management at Risk Services (CMR) Pre-construction Services contract for the replacement of Jensen Beach Elementary School to Proctor Construction Company, LLC. The negotiated CMR Pre-construction Services Contract includes the cost and scope for services on the project.
July 21, 2020 - Chief Operations Officer Garret Grabowski presented architectural renderings to the School Board.
August 18, 2020 - Chief Operations Officer Garret Grabowski presented a project update to the School Board.
September 24, 2020 - District staff will join representatives of Harvard Jolly Architecture in presenting a virtual update to the community.
July 20, 2021 - The School Board approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) which will allow construction to begin. Groundbreaking took place on July 27, 2021.
Jensen Beach High School - Flooring Replacement
Project complete
Jensen Beach High School - Building 6 Roof Replacement
Project complete. The auditorium roof is underway.
Jensen Beach High School - Enhanced Security: Fencing, Tennis Court Replacement, Flooring Replacement, Roof Replacement - Building 6, Water Intrusion Remediation
Perimeter security updates are underway. The tennis court and flooring have been replaced. The roof has been replaced. Water intrusion repairs are underway.
Martin County High School - Safety Improvements, Cafeteria & Music Building Repairs
The enhanced security projects have been completed.
Palm City Elementary School - Complete School Replacement

South Fork High School - Sports Complex & Fields, Site Drainage System and Chiller Plant/HVAC System Replacement
The projects are currently in the GMP process - subcontractors are bidding at this time.
