First responders participate in active intruder training drill at South Fork High

The safety of our students and staff is the top priority for the Martin County School District and is shared by our local first responders.

Annual active intruder training with the local first responders is vital to prepare for the worst.

The Martin County Sheriff's Office, Martin County Fire and Rescue, Stuart Police Department and Martin County School District worked collaboratively to conduct such training at South Fork High School on June 29, 2023.

The purpose of the training is to ensure all components of an active intruder response work properly and to improve efficiency if such an instance occurs. The goal is to be prepared for anything and everything.

The Martin County School District is beyond thankful for the collaborative relationship and commitment to safety shared by our first responders. Together, we keep our schools safe for our students to learn and grow.
