The Martin County School District is proud to announce the appointment of Angela Gilbride as its new Principal of PreK Programs. A passionate and accomplished educator with more than 20 years of experience in Title I schools, Ms. Gilbride brings a deep-rooted commitment to early childhood education, literacy development, and student-centered leadership.
Ms. Gilbride’s career has been marked by a relentless focus on improving outcomes for young learners. From her beginnings as a kindergarten teacher to her leadership roles as a literacy coach and assistant principal, she has consistently led with purpose, using data-informed strategies and a collaborative spirit to drive school improvement. She has served the students and families of Martin County in various capacities, most recently as Assistant Principal of Warfield Elementary School.
Throughout her career, Ms. Gilbride has championed professional development, coaching, and curriculum design that fosters academic growth and school readiness. She holds an Educational Specialist degree in K–12 Educational Leadership and a master’s degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University, as well as a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from the University of Central Florida.
A Certified CLASS Pre-K Observer and graduate of the National Institute of School Leadership, Ms. Gilbride has also served as a district-level presenter and committee member, helping to shape instructional practices and leadership development across Martin County schools. Her accolades include being named the Florida Assistant Principal of the Year for Martin County in 2019 and a top three finalist for the Florida Department of Education’s statewide honor in 2020.
Ms. Gilbride is excited to lead the district’s PreK programs and continue building a strong foundation for the youngest learners in Martin County. Her vision is rooted in excellence and meaningful partnerships with families and the community.
