The Martin County School District is excited to announce the appointment of Sydnee Harden as the new Assistant Principal of Palm City Elementary School, pending School Board approval.

Ms. Harden brings a passion for instructional excellence and student-centered leadership to her new role. Most recently serving as the Single School Culture Coordinator at Seminole Trails Elementary School in Palm Beach County, Ms. Harden led data-driven professional development, facilitated K-5 math professional learning communities, and provided mentorship and instructional support to teachers. Her work significantly enhanced academic outcomes, strengthened staff collaboration, and deepened family engagement through meaningful events and communication.

Prior to her leadership role, Ms. Harden taught third grade at Seminole Trails Elementary, where she served as team leader and led her grade level to a notable increase in math proficiency from just 8% to 45%. Her dedication to closing achievement gaps and supporting teachers has made her a trusted leader and mentor within the school community.

Ms. Harden holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Florida Atlantic University.

At Palm City Elementary, Ms. Harden will work alongside Principal Lauren Rabener to support student success, foster strong family partnerships, and maintain the school's tradition of academic excellence and community pride.
