All In Martin Episode 11-Hurricane Milton

The Martin County School District is releasing a special episode of its All In Martin podcast, reflecting on the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Milton and its impact on our community.

Hurricane Milton swept through the Treasure Coast, leaving a lasting mark on our community. Families faced days without power, homes were destroyed, and lives were tragically lost throughout the state. Murray Middle School was among the hardest-hit areas in Martin County when tornadoes caused widespread devastation throughout the region. Several buildings on campus were rendered unusable, including spaces dedicated to the school’s performing arts and agricultural programs.

In this episode, Principal Tiffany Roth and Facilities Director Mark Sechrist sit down to share their reflections on the immediate aftermath of the storm, the resilience of students, staff, and families, and the progress made toward rebuilding Murray Middle School.

The episode provides listeners a chance to hear more about what happened behind the scenes during the immediate aftermath, look back on the outpouring of support within the District, and feel the resilience and optimism that continue to drive the Martin County community forward.
