Elev8Hope Basket Drive

The Martin County community came together once again this season to support families in need through Elev8Hope, a local nonprofit’s annual Thanksgiving basket initiative.

Volunteers from across the county, including Superintendent Michael Maine and School Board Member Amy Pritchett, joined forces to help load the more than 5,000 baskets. Most of the items were donated by our own students, who helped fill the baskets with pantry staples and holiday essentials that will go directly to classmates and local families experiencing a moment of need.

Their generosity was more than a service project; it was a reflection of how deeply our students care for one another. The compassion they showed represents the very best of who we are as an A-Rated District.

The District also extends heartfelt gratitude to our school social workers for ensuring each basket reaches the families who need them most, and to Elev8Hope Compassion in Action, the founder and driving force behind this initiative, for creating a meaningful way for students and community members to support one another year after year.

South Fork High School earned special recognition once again, securing the Elev8Hope trophy for the third straight year as the top basket contributor among our high schools.

The initiative was a powerful reminder of what happens when a community shows up with purpose. Together, our students, staff and partners demonstrated what it means to be truly unstoppable, especially when it comes to taking care of one another.
