Community donation to school lunch debt

This holiday season, generosity is making a difference for students in the Martin County School District.

Jennifer Lieber of Complete Access Control, Inc. has donated $3,000 to help reduce student lunch debt, moving the District closer to eliminating the current balance of approximately $4,200.

“Gifts like this make a meaningful impact for our families and students,” said Laura Holmedal, Director of Food and Nutrition Services. “We are grateful for community partners who support our students in so many ways."

School meal programs play an important role in students’ health and academic success, and for many students, school meals are among the most consistent and nutritious they receive. The Martin County School District ensures all students receive a complete, nutritious meal every day. Read the meal charging policy here.

This donation helps ease financial burdens for families and spreads holiday cheer.
