MATHCOUNTS Regional Winners

Martin County School District middle school students delivered an outstanding performance at the MATHCOUNTS Treasure Coast Regional Competition, earning eight of the top 10 individual spots and securing first- and second-place finishes overall.

The competition was held Feb. 20 at Indian River State College’s Main Campus in Fort Pierce. All five MCSD middle schools sent teams of four students to compete against schools from across the Treasure Coast region. Throughout five rigorous rounds, students demonstrated strong problem‑solving skills, teamwork and mathematical reasoning developed through months of preparation.

MCSD students also dominated the fast‑paced Countdown Round, placing eight students in the top 10 and representing multiple district schools.

Congratulations to Hidden Oaks Middle School (1st Place Overall) and Dr. David L. Anderson Middle School (2nd Place Overall), for advancing to the state competition.
