US Best High Schools

All three Martin County School District traditional high schools have been recognized among the top-performing schools in Florida and across the nation in U.S. News & World Report’s 2026-2027 Best High Schools rankings.

  • Jensen Beach High School – No. 204 in Florida

  • Martin County High School – No. 303 in Florida

  • South Fork High School – No. 323 in Florida

U.S. News & World Report reviewed data from more than 24,000 public high schools across the country and ranked nearly 18,000 based on measures of academic performance, graduation rates, and college readiness. Schools ranked within the top 40% nationally earn the designation of “Best High Schools.”

All three District-operated high schools ranked within the top 30% of public high schools nationally.

“We are proud to see our high schools once again recognized among the nation’s best,” said Superintendent Michael Maine. “These rankings reflect more than a single accomplishment. They speak to the consistent dedication of our students, teachers, staff and families, and to a shared commitment to ensuring every student has opportunities to succeed at the highest levels. We are proud of this recognition and even more proud of the people who make it possible.”

The recognition builds on MCSD’s success as a back-to-back A-rated District and reinforces its Martin Means More commitment to preparing students for success in college, careers, and life.
