A proud product of the Martin County School District returned home as Martin County High School Class of 2012 graduate and NFL veteran (2016-2024) Justin Simmons visited his alma mater to speak with current Tigers.
Simmons shared his journey from growing up in Martin County and attending MCSD schools to Boston College and the NFL, encouraging students to dream big, lead with character, and keep working toward their goals.
The visit also gave Simmons an opportunity to recognize the teachers and coaches who helped shape his path, including some who are still at MCHS today. He encouraged students to remember the people who helped them along the way and, one day, find their own ways to give back.
For current Tigers, the homecoming offered a chance to hear from someone who once sat in the same seats and walked in the same halls, showing students big dreams can start right here in Martin County.
Simmons continued his homecoming later that night, returning to support the Tigers at their varsity football game.
His return brought his journey full circle and gave todayโs students a firsthand example of where their own dreams can take them.
Watch the video below to hear more from Simmons and see what students took away from his visit.
