The Martin County School District’s All In Martin podcast is highlighting the employees whose work behind the scenes helps keep schools running safely, efficiently, and successfully each day throughout the back-to-back A-rated District.
In the latest episode, host Kirstie Germaine is joined by Driver/Expeditor Keith Hammond, Network Engineer Alec Johnson, and Electrician Jeremi Criner to discuss how their roles support students, teachers, and staff across the District.
Criner helps maintain the electrical systems that power everything from classroom lights and outlets to air-conditioning and technology equipment. He also shares details about a recent three-week project to install more than 60 new LED light fixtures in the District’s Reprographics Department.
Johnson works to keep classrooms and schools connected by maintaining the District’s network infrastructure. The episode explores a major network refresh involving more than 20 pallets of new equipment, as well as Johnson’s journey from a Student Supporting Schools intern at age 16 to his current role as a network engineer.
Hammond and his warehouse team deliver mail, food, custodial supplies, testing materials, and other essential items to schools and the District office. He also recognizes the work of the Reprographics employees who prepare thousands of printed materials and packages for schools each day.
