South Fork High School’s Mr. Kevin Kobold was recently featured on CBS 12 News’ Teacher Feature for the impact he’s making through co-teaching in the classroom.
As an ESE Support Facilitator, Mr. Kobold works alongside geometry teacher Ms. Conti, providing additional support to her and, most importantly, their students. With two educators working together, students have more opportunities for individual support, meaningful engagement and connections that help them succeed.
But for Mr. Kobold, co-teaching is about more than academics. It’s about knowing his students, building relationships and helping them learn how to approach challenges, both inside and outside the classroom.
The Martin County School District is exploring opportunities to expand this co-teaching model, building on the work happening in classrooms like this one at SFHS.
