The Martin County School District is preparing to celebrate National School Lunch Week Oct. 12-16, with this year’s “Cafeteria Circus” theme bringing a little extra fun to lunchtime.
National School Lunch Week celebrates the importance of nutritious school meals and the role they play in helping students learn, grow, and succeed. Throughout the week, MCSD cafeterias will get into the “Cafeteria Circus” spirit with special themed menu items.
Students can look forward to Three Ring Pizza Slices, Big Top Popcorn Chicken Bowls, and Trapeze Mac n’ Cheese, among other selections throughout the week.
The week also celebrates the Food & Nutrition Services employees who prepare and serve meals to students across the District each day. Their work plays an important role in keeping students fed and ready to learn throughout the school day.
