Twelve Martin County School District schools are being recognized for their continued commitment to academic excellence, earning $786,000 through the Florida School Recognition Program for the 2026-27 school year.

The prestigious Florida School Recognition Program honors schools that demonstrate sustained academic success or significant improvement in student performance. Schools are eligible for recognition by earning an โ€œAโ€ grade, improving at least one letter grade, or meeting other state-established performance criteria.

The following MCSD schools earned recognition:

The financial awards are based on each schoolโ€™s full-time equivalent student enrollment, enabling these schools to continue fostering success.

โ€œSeeing our schools recognized for their academic achievement is something we are incredibly proud of,โ€ Superintendent Michael Maine said. โ€œThese awards represent the hard work of our students, teachers, school leaders, and families, and the commitment to excellence they bring to our schools every day. This recognition reflects the strength of our schools and the dedication of the people across our District who continue to raise the bar for our students."

The recognition adds to an already remarkable year of achievement for the Martin County School District, which earned an A rating for the second consecutive year and recorded its highest accountability score in District history. Together, these accomplishments reflect the continued academic progress happening across our schools and the strong foundation we are building for the future. This is Martin Means More: celebrating how far our students and schools have come while continuing to move forward.
