The Martin County School District was proud to welcome Florida Commissioner of Education Henry Mack and members of the Florida State Board of Education for a visit highlighting the exciting opportunities available to students across the District.
Joined by School Board Chair Marsha Powers, Superintendent Michael Maine, and other District leaders, the visitors toured Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs at Martin County High School, where students showcased their skills and shared their experiences.
From culinary arts to automotive technology and welding, students demonstrated how their coursework is preparing them for life after graduation, whether they choose to enter the workforce or continue their education.
The visit also included the Florida State Board of Education meeting, where South Fork High School choir and Army JROTC students showcased their talents. Martin County High School senior Elle Wall was personally presented with the Commissionerโs Leadership Award by Commissioner Mack in recognition of her determination, perseverance and leadership.
