The Martin County School Board approved the instructional calendar for the 2024-2025 school year during its meeting held on November 14, 2023. The first day of the 2024-2025 school year will be August 12, 2024, with the last day falling on May 29, 2025.
Thanksgiving Break* will occur November 25-29, 2024, and Winter Break will begin on December 23, 2024, with students returning to school on January 6, 2025. Schools will be closed March 17- 21, 2025, for Spring Break.
The 2024-2025 school calendar adheres to the number of instructional hours required by the Florida Department of Education. The 2024-2025 calendar was developed by the School Board's Calendar Committee, which is comprised of citizens appointed by Members of the School Board.

*Emergency Makeup Days precede Thanksgiving Break (November 25-26). Another Emergency Makeup Day is scheduled for November 1, 2024. If we do NOT experience an emergency situation(s) that would require the use of one or more of these Emergency Makeup Days, Nov. 25-26 will be added to the Thanksgiving Break as vacation time, and Nov. 1 will be a student/teacher holiday. If we experience conditions that would necessitate making up one or more school days, we will provide notice of the appropriate date(s) to families and employees as soon as possible.
