The HSE Team worked collaboratively this school year to ensure we maintained our excellence in educating and empowering our students to be stewards in conservation through demonstrating literacy efforts and environmental initiatives.

Exciting news at Hobe Sound Elementary School—Ms. Stephanie DeVoe has been chosen to serve as the next Assistant Principal, pending school board approval!
Ms. DeVoe has been a dedicated member of the Eagle family for over 15 years, serving in roles such as Science Coach, STEM Coordinator, and 5th Grade Lead Teacher. Most recently, she served as a Science Interventionist, helping the school achieve the #1 ranking among Title I schools in science proficiency.

👀Summer reading helps kids stay confident for the new school year.
📚New Worlds Reading is Florida’s free reading program that mails eligible kids a free book each month during the school year with resources and activities for families to use together to help students strengthen their literacy skills.
💻Eligible students that apply prior to June 9th will receive all 9 books for this school year along with a 3-book summer pack.

🎶✨ Reminiscing about how our HSE students recently enjoyed two unforgettable musical experiences in May!
🎵 On May 15th, Mr. Schilling, a Hobe Sound local, wowed students with a live bagpipe demonstration, sharing its rich history, unique sound science, and how it's played.
🎹 Then on May 19th, concert pianist Lindsay Garritson, who has graced stages like Carnegie Hall, performed classical pieces and guided students in exploring music as a powerful storytelling tool—no words needed!

School may be out, but nutritious meals are still in!
The Martin County School District will be serving free breakfast and lunch for all children 18 and under at select school sites starting Monday, June 2, 2025, with no income restrictions. Meal service dates and times will vary by location. Children must remain on location while they are eating their meals.
Our Summer Feeding Bus is back as well! You can find the beautiful, bright bus serving lunch at St. Lucie Mobile Village and Booker Park in Indiantown starting Monday.

The American Heart Association's Kids Heart Challenge is a fundraising program that teaches elementary students about heart health, promotes physical activity, and encourages them to make healthy choices.
Hobe Sound Elementary students collected $3,366.44.

What an unforgettable day! Our 5th graders wrapped up the year with an exciting adventure to Sea World today —packed with amazing animal shows, thrilling roller coasters, and lots of laughter. From dolphins and sea lions to high-speed rides, memories were made at every turn. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this trip so special!
5th Grade had a Learning Gains Luau celebration lunch! Congratulations to these scholars!

💛The Golden Heart Celebration recognizes the siblings of students with special needs for their love, compassion, and ability to exemplify acceptance for all.

🚀🔬 HSE Family STEM Night was a huge success!
Our students and families explored 20 hands-on stations that inspired creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. From building structures to testing designs, everyone embraced the power of trial and error in true STEM fashion!
✨ Special thanks to the Everglades Foundation for their engaging environmental station and our Martin County Sheriff's Office for bringing real-world science to life with fingerprinting and crime scene investigations.
A big shoutout to our amazing community for making this night unforgettable!
