🍎FUTURE MURRAY MIDDLE LIONS🍎 Parents of incoming 6th graders for Murray Middle School are invited to attend a brief informational meeting tonight, April 16, at 5:30 p.m. at Murray Middle School. School leaders will provide all the information needed to make the transition from elementary school to middle school. #ALLINMartin👊

On behalf of the Jupiter Island Garden Club I want to send my sincere thanks to you (Dr. Novak) and to everyone at Hobe Sound Elementary who helped make this year’s contest such a huge success. Our chosen theme of “Mangroves and Manatees” really resonated with the students. Over a period of five weeks, Ms. Stuart and I worked with the 4th grade students to help them bring their creative ideas to life. This year we had 92 completed posters which were judged by a committee of 20 Garden Club members. On March 22, we held the awards ceremony in the cafeteria at HSE, with cookies and juice for everyone. We had 12 Honorable Mention Winners in addition to First, Second and Third place winners. Every student who submitted a poster, was awarded a small stuffed Florida related animal as well as a gift card for a small ice cream from “Sweeties” ice cream parlor in Hobe Sound. It was a wonderful event for all who participated or helped make it a success. I want to especially thank so many of the school teachers and staff who were instrumental in making this event so successful. A special thank you goes to Jill Stuart, who’s creative genius and hard work made our Poster Contest come to life. It was my pleasure to work side by side with her in the classroom each morning. The students of HSE are lucky to have her! We would like to display the winning posters at the new Bailey Gallery right here in Hobe Sound. I would also like to submit a short write up and some photos to Hobe Sound Magazine. Again, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your school community and I will look forward to working with everyone again next year. We are excited to report that a lot of HSE students are getting books from our book vending machine provided by the Education Foundation of Martin County!! We are thankful @EducationFoundationMC for providing these awesome book vending machines that our students absolutely love! From Kindergarten: Colin joined the 10 point club. From 1st grade: Zoey made the 10 point club. Yeimy and Andrew both made the 25 point club. Henry made the 50point club. From 2nd grade: Dani and Demarius made the 50 point club. Dahlia made the 75 point club. From 3rd grade: Marley made the 150 point club. From 5th grade: Ryder made the 50 point club. Zander made the 50 point club. Melva made the 75 point club. Congratulations to our Eagle Artists! Each year the Martin County Tag Office puts on a License Plate Art Contest for the 5th graders of Martin County. The students get to design their own License plate design and submit it for different categories. We had two county winners at HSE! Way to go EAGLES!! Parents, ALL 5th grade students’ license plates are available for purchase on the Martin County Kids Tag Art webpage. They are real metal license plates and key fobs. A portion of each plate purchased goes to supporting our school! All you have to do, is go to their website, click on school year 2023, Hobe Sound Elementary, and then your child’s teacher’s name. Thank you for supporting the Arts!
