💻➗📖 HSE IXL March Madness Update

Our journey in the MCSD IXL March Madness has come to an end… and wow, it was so close!
We came within 0.04 of skill points of beating Crystal Lake Elementary to advance to the Elite Eight. We are incredibly proud of our students and staff for their hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication to meeting proficiency. Your efforts are the most important take away. We wish CLE luck as they progress to the Elite Eight next week against SMS Jaguars (us birds have to stick together) 🦅🦅

Even though we didn’t advance, HSE Eagles showed true spirit and determination. Let’s carry this momentum forward! 🦅✨

Mrs. Creswell's Kindergartners sat waiting for a reader to come,
And then a 5th grader guest reader entered—oh boy, what fun!
She opened the book and the story took flight,
Filling the room with delight, bright and light.
The Cat in the Hat gave a tip‑tap and cheer:
“Reading together’s the best time of the year!”
Then he twirled his tall hat as he said with a grin:
“When friends share a story, the magic begins!”

Kindergarten is enjoying celebrating some Dr. Seuss stories and special dress up days this week!

🌱🦅 The House of Hope Traveling Garden Visits Hobe Sound Elementary! 🥕🌼

This week, all of our students in VPK through 5th grade had an exciting hands-on learning experience as Ms. Amanda brought the House of Hope Traveling Nutrition Education Garden to our campus!

The “garden on wheels,” in partnership with Cleveland Clinic Martin Health, provided our Eagles with an interactive opportunity to explore how healthy food grows and why good nutrition matters. Students discovered live vegetables, fruits, herbs, and pollinators while learning how gardening connects to healthy lifestyles and strong communities.

📚💙 Parents, you are your child’s BEST reading model! 💙📚
At our Media Specialist meeting yesterday, we chatted again about how important it is to model reading for your child. And guess what? YOU can do it! Even if you don’t consider yourself a “reader,” your child sees everything you model—so let them see YOU reading too! 👀📖
Not sure where to start?
👉 Ask your child for a book recommendation—they LOVE being the expert! 😄
