Our Eagles had a blast celebrating Mrs. Stuart, HSE Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Waterman, HSE Employee of the Year, and 10 HSE Eagles from grades K-5 who earned spots on the float by using their Eagle bucks earned through meeting our N.E.S.T. expectations. HSE ๐s our community.

HSE Kindergarten classes discovered what a Solid ๐งฑ, Liquid ๐ฆand Gas ๐จ are. They were able to make Oobleck (A non-Newtonian fluid) to observe how it transitions from a solid when squeezed to a liquid when it is sitting in your hand. SCIENCE LAB DAYS ARE THE BEST!

๐The 4-H HSE Club has commenced.
Our Eagles are learning through fun and hands-on activities that focus on the four Hs: Head, Heart, Hands, and Health.
๐Kindergarteners had a blast sifting through cheese puff pollen to find the nectar starburst, and enjoyed singing and crafting.
๐งFirst and second graders practiced yoga and even completed the 4-H pledge in yoga poses.
๐ปThird graders explored Flora and Fauna, made Flora bracelets, and did a germ activity to learn about health.





๐HSE grade 3๏ธโฃ students collaborate to identify and write about character perspective utilizing evidence from the text. This work begins with a 2-minute independent quick write ensuring all students have details to share with partners.






HSE SAC was thankful for the partnership with โค๏ธ๐พ SFHS Leaders regarding our work in increasing rigor on our campus through seeking becoming an International Baccalaureate- primary years elementary school. Mrs Desreuisseau & Mr. Shewmaker introduced the impact and power behind earning an IB diploma and experiencing learning through an IB lens.
At HSE, we recognize that our students are in a direct path to attend SFHS and that our students deserve access to the highest quality instruction to prepare them for options as they earn their high school diploma and beyond.

Parents, your student's fall portraits that were taken a few weeks ago and have been ready to order. The original order due date is approaching on this Friday, November 22nd but has now been extended until Black Friday, November 29th. If you can order by this Friday before the busy holiday week, do so but know you have extra time until the 29th to place the order if you need! Proof forms have been sent out and if your student was photographed they should have the paper order form with their password to view. Reminder: the Martin County School District is hosting its Transition Fair tomorrow, November 20, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the MCSD Board Room.
Families of students with disabilities in grades K-12 who have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Section 504 Plan can expect to learn more about additional education and career opportunities for their children.
