Three Martin County School District high schools have been recognized among the top-performing schools in Florida in U.S. News & World Report’s 2025-2026 Best High Schools rankings.

  • Jensen Beach High School#133 in Florida, up from #145 in 2024

  • Martin County High School#230 in Florida, up from #233 in 2024

  • South Fork High School#314 in Florida, up from #328 in 2024

Each year, U.S. News & World Report evaluates nearly 18,000 public high schools nationwide based on measures of academic performance, graduation rates, and college readiness. Schools ranked in the top 40% nationally earn the designation of “Best High Schools.”

  • Martin County High SchoolTop 16% nationally

  • South Fork High SchoolTop 24% nationally

Superintendent Michael Maine praised the accomplishment, noting that the recognition reflects the dedication of both students and staff.

“We are incredibly proud of our schools, students, and educators for earning this recognition,” Superintendent Maine said. “These rankings highlight the rigorous instruction taking place in our classrooms and the commitment our teachers and staff demonstrate each day to ensure students graduate prepared for success in college, careers, and life.”
