ECG Event at SFHS

Martin County School District families with student athletes are invited to take advantage of a free ECG screening event at South Fork High School on June 12–13.

Beginning July 1, 2026, Florida Senate Bill 1070 will require all incoming ninth-grade student athletes and any new student athletes to complete an electrocardiogram (ECG) screening in order to participate in the 2026–2027 athletic school year. This event provides an opportunity for students to meet that requirement early and at no cost.

Students who have already completed an ECG on or after July 1, 2024, may use those results to satisfy the requirement.

The screenings are provided by nonprofit In A Heartbeat and are available exclusively to registered MCSD students and student athletes.
