Jensen Beach High School is excited to welcome two new leaders to the Falcon family, assistant principals Julie Stevenson and Diana Cardenas, after the Martin County School Board approved their appointments during its July 21 meeting.
Together, Ms. Stevenson and Ms. Cardenas bring decades of experience in instructional leadership, school improvement, and student support to Jensen Beach High School.
Ms. Stevenson brings more than 25 years of experience in education. Most recently, she served as acting principal of Glades Academy Charter School in Palm Beach County, where she provided instructional leadership, supported school improvement efforts, and oversaw daily school operations. She previously served as assistant principal at Everglades Preparatory Academy and held district leadership roles with the School District of Palm Beach County, supporting professional learning, federal programs, and school improvement initiatives. She began her career as an elementary school teacher.
Ms. Cardenas brings more than two decades of experience in education, serving in instructional and leadership roles across Florida, Washington, D.C., and Illinois. Most recently, she served as dean of students at John I. Leonard High School in Palm Beach County, where she supported student services, school safety, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). She previously served as assistant principal at Bancroft Elementary School in Washington, D.C., and has also worked as an instructional coach, school counselor, and MTSS specialist, supporting instructional improvement and student achievement.
Jensen Beach High School looks forward to the leadership and experience Ms. Stevenson and Ms. Cardenas will bring to support students, staff, and families.
