Murray Middle School student Gabriel and his sister Aliana, a Crystal Lake Elementary School student, got to fly high and enjoy a fantastic view of the Great Smoky Mountains during a helicopter ride in Newport, Tennessee!
Did you know that the โsmokeโ from the Smoky Mountains is fog that comes from the areaโs vegetation? Plants take in carbon dioxide and give off oxygen, but plants also exhale something called โvolatile organic compounds,โ or VOCs, which cause fog.
