Twice a year, Spectrum Academy partners with the Stuart Police Department and hosts a delicious cookout for its students.
Just before Thanksgiving Break, Stuart Police Department's Community Relations Unit set up its grill and barbecued hamburgers, hotdogs and Officer Delancy's special chicken wings.
The cookout not only celebrates the partnerships between Spectrum Academy, Stuart PD and the Martin County School District, but it's also a time to celebrate the hard work of Spectrum students!
Students are rewarded for scoring high on tests, doing good deeds for others, etc. and trade in the points they earned for some awesome prizes, such as a smartwatch!
