🌀 EYE ON THE STORM 🌀
🚨Update - 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25: The Martin County School District will close all MCSD-operated schools and District offices on Thursday, September 26, 2024, due to Hurricane Helene.
The decision is based on the latest information from the National Weather Service and local emergency management officials. Wind speeds throughout the morning are projected to exceed limits for school bus operation, making it unsafe for transportation.
MCSD continues to work closely with local emergency management officials to track the storm and will provide further information regarding District operations beyond Thursday as it becomes available.
Families are urged to monitor the District's website at www.martinschools.org, social media channels, and the District's automated messaging system for updates. Families and employees wishing to receive text message notifications should text START to 98900.
As a reminder, all after-school activities are also canceled.

🍎LEAVING A LEGACY🍎
Superintendent Michael Maine and the Martin County School Board were honored to celebrate the career of Rosalyn Panet during the board meeting this evening.
Ms. Panet started her journey with the Martin County School District 32 years ago when she took an Adult Education computer class at the Indiantown campus. The very next year, she was hired as an ELL paraprofessional.
Ms. Panet has been an integral part of the Indiantown and Stuart communities, making a lasting impact on the lives of students and families. Her legacy is defined by a deep love for her work and spreading the joy of education to everyone she meets.
We are grateful for her dedication and wish her the very best in retirement.
