🍎CELEBRATING TEACHERS🍎
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
Without our amazing teachers, the Martin County School District couldn't educate ALL of our students for success. Thank you, teachers, for everything you do each and every day to help our students achieve their dreams.
"Every day, you come to school with a passion for teaching and a desire to help our students reach their full potential," said Mr. Michael Maine, Superintendent of Schools. "You inspire them to learn, to grow, and to achieve their dreams. You provide them with the tools they need to succeed, both academically and personally. You create a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive and be their best selves."
We appreciate you!

🎉CELEBRATING PRINCIPALS🎉
Administrator. Leader. Teacher. Friend. Substitute. Difference maker.
These are just a few adjectives to describe a school principal.
We know our school principals wear many hats. We know that no matter which hat they must wear at any given point of the day, they are determined to help every student and teacher succeed.
On this School Principals' Day, we can't thank ours enough. Thank you for everything you all do for our students and our community ❤️

💜PURPLE UP💜
April is the Month of the Military Child. While their soldier parent is the hero on the battlefront, Guard kids are the heroes on the homefront!
There are more than 1.6 million military children who face many challenges and unique experiences as a result of their parents' service. Show support of Military kids and wear something purple today (can be paired with Tacky Tourist Friday for MCSD Math Week)!

📚CELEBRATING OUR HISTORY📚
As our celebration of #BlackHistoryMonth continues, we spotlight two brothers who were educational pioneers in Martin County, Charles E. and Robert G. Murray.
Charles Murray founded the Stuart Training School in 1926 - this was the county's first high school for Black students. He remained principal until 1939 when his brother, Robert, took over.
Stuart Training School eventually became Spectrum Academy and Murray Middle School was named after the brothers.
