"Sonya is excited to head to New York City, where she will study Economics and Political Science at Columbia University," proud mom Stacey shared. "Sonya is a Kovner Opportunity Scholar and a National Merit Scholarship recipient. She was President of Voices of Women and the Spanish National Honor Society in addition to holding a statewide position as Senate President for Youth in Government. She would like to shout out Ms. Brown and Ms. Farber, who supported her as a South Fork International Baccalaureate student!"

🎓 Senior Elementary Walk Tradition 🐾

As we get closer to graduation 🎉, we are excited to continue one of our most cherished traditions—Elementary Walks! 🏫

Our elementary schools will welcome back our seniors for one final walk through the halls where their journey began ❤️. It’s a full-circle moment you won’t want to miss!

⚠️ Please note: This is a SENIOR-ONLY event—families will not be permitted to attend.

📝 All seniors who plan to participate must complete the registration form by May 13th.

"Maggie will be attending Duke University, where she will major in Environmental Science," proud mom Stacey shared. "As the founder of a nonprofit called Students Against Invasive Species, she educated over 3000 Martin and Palm Beach residents on the harmful effects of invasive plant species and promoted native plants. As a Kovner Opportunity Scholar, Maggie will continue her conservation efforts in college and beyond. A huge thank you to the supportive teachers in the IB program at South Fork!"

"John is excited to follow in his SFHS siblings Stephen and Natalie's footsteps as a proud Gator," proud parents Maria and Stephen shared. "John ran cross country and track and field all 4 years for South Fork. John is a National Merit Commended Scholar and is graduating from the SFHS International Baccalaureate Program. Thank you Ms. Casey Swift, Ms. Amanda Moore, Ms. Tatiana Farber and Mr. Marc Turull for believing in John and inspiring him."

John plans to attend the University of Florida and major in Mechanical Engineering.

🎉🐾 South Fork High School proudly announces our 2026–2027 Teacher of the Year, Mr. Marc Turull! 🐾🎉

Please join us in celebrating an outstanding educator who has made a lasting impact on our students, staff, and community.

For 15 years, Mr. Turull has dedicated himself to South Fork High School, building meaningful connections and creating unforgettable learning experiences. He shared that South Fork has been “a great blessing” in his life and that it is truly “more than just a location where I work.” That sense of purpose is clear in everything he does.

Mr. Turull stands out as an exceptional advocate for students who never says no when it comes to bringing innovative opportunities into the classroom. He is constantly enhancing his curriculum with real-world experiences that go far beyond traditional learning. In IB Physics, he inspires students daily while also creating opportunities they carry with them long after they leave. From annual trips to the Stuart Air Show to hands-on work like mapping fruit fly neurons at the Max Planck Institute, his students experience learning in action. They have even taken on challenges like rappelling the Marine bootcamp tower at Parris Island and participating in service trips delivering medical supplies donated by SFHS in rural Guatemala.

Mr. Turull is adored by students and admired by parents and the community. That reputation is built on his professionalism, patience, and unwavering dedication. Known as a true “people person,” he leads by example with kindness, respect, and genuine care for others. Whether in the classroom or supporting our school as a proud Bulldog dad at the baseball field, he shows up for South Fork in every way.

When reflecting on this honor, Mr. Turull said being nominated by his colleagues is “the greatest compliment I could ever have as a teacher,” a testament to the strong relationships he has built within our school family.
