Recognized by the Florida Department of Education as one of the state’s top 11th-grade STEM students, Varun recently represented Martin County School District at the 28th annual Sunshine State Scholars conference in Orlando. Out of 112 students statewide, Varun was one of just 43 to earn a 1-year scholarship from State Farm and the Florida Prepaid College Foundation! 🎉 He also received a new iPad, SeaWorld tickets, and the chance to connect with top colleges and STEM-focused employers from across Florida. 📣 Exciting News from South Fork High School! 🐾 We’re proud to welcome Sherilyn Bryan as our new IB Coordinator starting in the 25-26 school year, following the incredible leadership of Dr. Joseph Shewmaker. A true Bulldog through and through, Sherilyn grew up at South Fork—her father was once Principal, and she was part of the very first IB graduating class, serving as Salutatorian. She's a National Merit Scholar, UF alum, and has been shaping young minds here since 2012, most recently as our amazing Drama Director. With deep roots in our school and the IB program, Sherilyn brings passion, experience, and a strong sense of community to this new role. Her connection to South Fork runs deep—and with her own children thriving in IB, she understands what it means to guide students toward success.
