We’re so proud of sophomore Bulldog Olivia Hernandez-Gonzalez, who shared her inspiring experience with her Social Skills class yesterday! 💬
Using her incredible animation skills, Olivia created a short animated film illustrating her journey from feeling nervous about starting high school last year to finding confidence and friendship through her Social Skills class with Ms. Skarban. 💪✨
She highlighted the impact of Ms. Skarban’s weekly “Grow and Glow” activity 🌱— where each student reflects on the good and areas for growth from the past week — along with the daily conversations that allow students to be open and vulnerable while building confidence in class. ❤️💬
Olivia’s bravery, creativity, and leadership were recognized as she received a Certificate of Achievement from the district for Exceptional Self-Advocacy and for “demonstrating enthusiasm in promoting the Unique Social Skills program.
