A Message from the Principal:

We are thrilled to welcome our WLC Ducks back for another exciting year of learning, growth, and success! We hope you enjoyed a restful summer and had the opportunity to make special memories with loved ones.

To our returning families—welcome back!
To our new students and families joining us this fall—we’re so glad you’re here and proud to have you as part of the Willoughby Learning Center community.

Building Strong Partnerships:

As I begin my fourth year as Principal, it remains my greatest honor to serve the students and families of Willoughby Learning Center. We believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential to every child’s academic achievement and social–emotional growth. Together, we can ensure that every student has the support and encouragement they need to succeed.

Our Dedicated Team:

Our outstanding team of teachers, paraprofessionals, support staff, custodians, child nutrition personnel, counselors, nurse, and administrative staff have been working diligently to prepare for the new school year. We are also excited to welcome several new staff members to the WLC family! Each member of our team brings dedication, expertise, and compassion to their role—making WLC a truly special place to learn and grow.

At Willoughby Learning Center, our SOAR expectations—Safe, On Task, Assigned Area, and Respectful—guide every aspect of school life. These principles shape our culture and ensure that our students experience a positive, structured, and engaging environment each day.

We remain committed to maintaining a high level of academic rigor, connectivity, and care, helping every student reach their fullest potential.

Attendance Reminder:

Regular attendance plays a vital role in academic success. Please note that our new start time is 7:40 a.m. Students should arrive early enough to be in homeroom and ready to begin the day on time.
