A standards-driven, application-based program to develop the necessary skills to enter a leadership role in Martin County.
What is the Aspiring Assistant Principal Academy?
As aspiring leaders approach completion of Masters in Education coursework, they may apply for the Aspiring Assistant Principal Academy (AAPA).
Throughout the course of the program, aspiring leaders receive specialized coaching that is targeted towards administrative tasks and situations. In addition, individuals will receive performance tasks based on leadership standards.
Requirements include:
Individuals will need to complete and pass all performance tasks assigned by the AAPA.
Individuals must complete their Educational Leadership education and pass the FELE before program completion.
Individuals will then need to add the Educational Leadership Certification to their Florida certificate.
Individuals who complete the program, and meet all these requirements, will enter the Martin County School District's Assistant Principal Pool.
