Teams of students from Jensen Beach, Martin County and South Fork high schools debated the U.S. Supreme Court case โ€œMiller v. Alabamaโ€ before presiding judges - the Honorable Kathleen Roberts (19th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida), the Honorable William Roby (19th Judicial Circuit Court) and the Honorable Alan O. Forst (Fourth District Court of Appeal). The case addressed the constitutionality of enacting life sentences without parole for juveniles convicted of capital crimes. Joining a wrestling program while dealing with visual impairment may not seem like something that would be at the top of many people's wish list, but Michael is no ordinary young man. He has embraced the challenge and his role on the Martin Co Athletics Wrestling team. ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŠGROWING HEALTHY & STRONG๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŠ Students in Ms. Love's class at Warfield Elementary School have been enjoying healthy snacks provided by the District's Office of Food & Nutrition Services! The Fresh Fruits & Vegetables Program, an initiative of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, has allowed the District to engage students in expanding their taste palates by providing them with access to healthy fruits and veggies. This week, Ms. Love's students practiced their language skills by describing the snack they enjoyed. They described oranges as juicy, sweet, sticky, round, healthy and delicious! #ALLINMartin๐Ÿ‘Š
