Kindergarten classes at Port Salerno Elementary School were excited to meet firefighters from Martin County Fire Rescue as part of National Fire Prevention Week. J. D. Parker School of Math, Science and Technology teachers collaborate on a regular basis to ensure the best outcomes for their students. Last week, fifth-grade teachers worked on breaking down their upcoming learning unit. They started with the assessment and worked their way backwards, which helps them focus on what is critical for students to learn.

First-graders at Felix A. Williams Elementary School wrapped up their English Language Arts unit one Benchmark lessons on how plants and animals grow last week. They planted sunflowers to observe the life cycle of a plant.
