We are celebrating our 24-25 Record Black Belt musicians today! These students practiced for many hours outside of the classroom and played the increasingly difficult songs for Mrs. Combass with fluency, consistent tempo, and melody. 🧃☀️FREE SUMMER MEALS FOR STUDENTS🧃☀️ School may be out, but nutritious meals are still in! The Martin County School District will be serving free breakfast and lunch for all children 18 and under at select school sites starting Monday, June 2, 2025, with no income restrictions. Meal service dates and times will vary by location. Children must remain on location while they are eating their meals. Our Summer Feeding Bus is back as well! Classes will visit the Summer Send-Off Book Fair this week! Families can support student purchases by attending the class visit or our after-school hours on Tuesday. Citrus Grove proudly celebrated two Sydney Young Golden Heart Award winners last week! Jayce Fulks and Ronan Triggs were honored for supporting and encouraging their siblings with disabilities. According to a 2022 WPTV interview, this recognition was started 19 years ago by Susan Burrows, a Challenger School principal. She wanted to celebrate the brothers and sisters of children with disabilities, who often sacrifice their own time and attention as they love and support their siblings and families. Parents and siblings, administrators, and classroom teachers are shown here beaming with pride for these two fine, young men. The Diamondback community applauds you, Jayce and Ronan!
