❤️MARTIN TRULY MEANS MORE❤️ This was too sweet of a shoutout not to share. 🥹 One of our now Kindergarten parents reached out about her son’s former VPK educator, Ms. Cassell and the impact she made on him not only as a current student, but even this year as he’s moved onto to Kindergarten. “The first week of this school year, Karter was nervous and having a hard time adjusting. Ms. Cassell would see him and say encouraging things to him and give him words of affirmation that would completely brighten his day,” Chelsea said. “She didn’t have to do that. He wasn’t her student anymore, but she still made the effort to make him feel seen and cared for.” And looking back on last year, his mom said she saw that same care in the way Ms. Cassell treated all of her students. While volunteering at the school, she watched her make sure every child felt included and had the opportunity to participate. When her son was away from school for an extended period, Ms. Cassell continued to make sure he knew he was remembered. And now, even though he’s moved on from her classroom, that care hasn’t changed: “Ms. Cassell goes above and beyond in ways that I don’t think can always be measured. Her love for teaching and, more importantly, her love for the children in her care shines through in everything she does. She has made such a positive impact on my son, and the fact that she has continued to show him that same kindness and love even after he left her classroom says so much about the kind of teacher she is.” That’s why Martin Means More. It’s these kinds of connections you can’t find anywhere else. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning families about fake and counterfeit squishy toys that may pose safety risks to children.

As a precaution, the Martin County School District will not provide squishy toys as classroom incentives, PBIS rewards or sensory items.
