Early Release Day
🌱DIGGING IN FOR EDUCATION🌱 The 3rd Grade Gifted class at Felix A. Williams Elementary is celebrating its annual Garden Week! During the week, students receive a hands-on enrichment of their “plants” science unit and their Expository and Research Writing lessons. Each child chooses their own plant, conducts research to become experts, prepares the garden beds and plants their plant. The 3rd Grade Gifted students will continue to care for their plants all year and later give garden tours to kindergarten, first and second-grade students once they are "experts" and feel confident in sharing their new knowledge with others! #ALLINMartin👊 #MCSDTheRippleEffect

📣 OUTSTANDING LEADERS SHOUT-OUT📣 "HUGE shout-out to Principal Sarah Tuthill and Assistant Principal Justin Browning, the new and amazing administration team at Felix A. Williams Elementary. From the start, this duo's positive energy, support for students, and appreciation of staff have been evident. They have also balanced maintaining tradition with trying new ideas in such a perfect way so that things feel fresh but not overwhelming. They are inspiring us all to SAIL and have been "splashing" new additions to our FAWE Family." -Very Proud FAWE Team 💙💚💙💚 #ALLINMartin👊 #MCSDTheRippleEffect #PublicSchoolProud

🌊MAKING RIPPLES🌊 We are honored to celebrate Mr. Joe, an outstanding substitute teacher who has served students enrolled in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) classes at Felix A. Williams Elementary over the last few weeks. "Mr. Joe has been a wonderful addition to our unit," Ms. Cooney shares. "He has taken on being a paraprofessional in our room for the past month, and his assistance has been priceless. He goes out of his way to form wonderful relationships with the students and comes in every morning with endless positivity to share. Our little group will greatly miss him. We hope to have him join us in our classroom again soon!" Thank you for growing #MCSDTheRippleEffect through your commitment to our students, Mr. Joe! #ALLINMartin👊 #PublicSchoolProud

🍎OUTSTANDING EMPLOYEE SHOUT-OUT🍎 "There are no words to describe how thankful I am for Ms. Borror. She was my kindergarten teacher 19 years ago; she helped shape my love for school and education. Now 19 years later, I’m beyond honored to say she now teaches my daughter! Her love for her students, both old and new, is unmatched. She is kind, loving, funny, and by far the best teacher to help guide you into your first years of school. Ms. Borror will always and forever be someone special to me and my family."- Martin County School District Parent/Alum regarding Ms. Scottie Borro at Felix A. Williams Elementary. Thank you, Ms. Borro, for making a difference in our students' lives through the generations! #ALLINMartin👊 #PublicSchoolProud #MCSDTheRippleEffect

🚨SAFETY FIRST🚨 Families - please ensure your child wears their school-issued ID badge daily. These ID badges are an essential component of our overall safety plan. In addition, your child's badge allows them to easily perform certain school-related functions, such as boarding/exiting their school bus, purchasing meals or checking out materials from the media center. If your child needs a new badge, please contact their school. #ALLINMartin👊 #PublicSchoolProud
