At home, one of the best ways to encourage these qualities is simply to model them! Let your child see you learning, trying, growing, and leading with kindness. 💙💚

Close Reading glasses make learning more fun! Second grade students are practicing their close reading skills using fun play glasses 👓 to ensure they don’t miss a single word while tracking and learning to following along. Deepening literacy skills through simple, fun, and silly ideas for the win!

Our gifted 5th grade class took on ✨The Great Corn Debate✨ carefully reading informational texts and using text evidence to build and defend their arguments about Three Sisters Planting, Two-Crop Rotation, and Four-Crop Rotation.
📚🌱 Students weren’t just picking a side, they were reading closely, evaluating evidence, thinking critically, and thoughtfully communicating their ideas. We love watching our Sailfish tackle reading and communication skills with confidence, curiosity, and some friendly debate! 💙💚

✨ Multiplication & Division Rockstars!✨
Our 3rd graders are diving into multiplication and division, and they’re learning that becoming a math whiz is a journey! 🧠✏️
Students start with hands-on materials to build understanding, move to pencil-and-paper strategies to show their thinking, and eventually work toward mental math and memorization to build fluency and confidence.
From concrete models to “I know it in my head!” moments, our Sailfish are building their math skills one strategy at a time! 🐟💙💚 #FAWEProud
