🍎HONORING AN OUTSTANDING TEACHER & STUDENT🍎
The Jensen Beach Chamber of Commerce recognized its Teacher and Student of the Month today, recognizing an outstanding educator and scholar from Felix A. Williams Elementary School with the awards. Ms. Jessica Urbay, a third-grade teacher of gifted students, was recognized for winning the 2021-2022 Martin County School District Teacher of the Year award. Fifth-grader John Morgan was recognized for his efforts to support our community through donations to the Hibiscus Children's Center and Farm Dog Rescue. Superintendent John D. Millay and School Board Chair Christia Li Roberts (District 1) presented today's recognitions.

4th grade frolic fun🐴Students used their knowledge learned from the ELA book study on the novel “Black Beauty” to identify the items used by the cowboys with the horses.
Today was the annual fourth grade Florida frolic.
It was a fun filled day of pioneer games and activities.
Stephen Bruner, cowboy, from Indiantown brought his crew and some cattle and taught the children what is what like to rope cattle and see livestock!
Thank you to the fourth grade teachers and volunteers that helped make today a great success!

Gifted 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders learned all about adaptations for ocean life and how to care for ocean life with a guest speaker from Florida Oceanographic 🐢🌎❤️
Fun fact - a sea turtle's brain is about the size of a human fist. Even though they have a smaller brain, they have exceptionally amazing instincts. This is one of many ways they are able to survive the challenges they face in the ocean.
