The voter-approved half-mill property tax has funded an extra School Resource Officer (SRO) at each MCSD-operated high school for the last four years.
The Martin County School Board wants to know if you think this should be continued if the half-mill is renewed by voters on August 23, 2022.

Four outstanding Martin County students participated in the Academic Games Leagues of America's (AGLOA) recent national tournament in Knoxville, Tennessee!
Martin County students participated in all three subject areas - LinguiSHTIK, Equations and Social Studies - at the national tournament. They had a wonderful experience exploring a new city and meeting students from throughout the country.

Monday - Friday, AmeriCorps members spend their time in classrooms working with students on their reading. The program is made possible through a partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs and Volunteer Florida.

🤝CELEBRATING PARTNERSHIP🤝
The Martin County School District held its annual Volunteer & Business Partner Awards Ceremony on April 14, honoring many outstanding members of our community for their donation of their time and talents to our students and schools.
More than 2,400 volunteers donated approximately 42,000 hours of their time in service to children in the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 school years, resulting in an estimated impact equivalent to $1.2M.
We feel honored and extremely fortunate to be able to continue educating all students for success in our generous, giving, engaged and helpful Martin County community!

8th Grade Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure TRIP DRESS CODE and other GUIDELINES
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
• Please be at HOMS by 6:30 A.M. on Friday, April 22nd.
• We will be back at 7:30 P.M.
• “Same seats” on the way back to Palm City from Orlando.
• Follow all safety rules on the bus.
• Keep the bus clean. If you drop trash, pick it up.
Electronic Devices may be brought at your own risk. School Cell Phone Policy is in effect for the entire trip.
DRESS CODE
HOMS T-Shirts (mandatory for EVERYONE) Don’t alter the shirts in any way!
Basketball shorts
Sweatpants ok…NO LEGGINGS, spandex or yoga pants.
Sneakers or flip-flops
Baseball caps/visors are okay.
You may bring a string bag with your belongings.
Shorts must be no shorter than 4 inches above the top of the knee.
NO BATHING SUITS!
Students not following dress code will not be allowed on the bus.
OTHER
You may bring a snack and water on the bus.
Snacks must not be messy.
Be on your best behavior. If you are not, you may lose your opportunity to participate in recognition ceremony.
All bags are subject to being checked at any time by an administrator if he/she suspects contraband.
