Elevate Eagles with Evening Reading!
๐โจ Letโs celebrate the power of books and the bright futures they help create! โจ๐
I recently came across a beautiful reminder from the Guardian:
โBooks lead to a richer life. They also lead to a more successful life, as a two-decade-long study showed. Kids who lived with books in their home โ as few as 20 โ benefitted significantly over those who didnโt, in areas like academic success, vocabulary development and job attainment.โ
How incredible is that? Just 20 books can help open doors, spark curiosity, and build confidence. ๐
And the best part โ building a home library doesnโt have to be expensive!
Dolly Partonโs Imagination Library offers free books to children
Thrift stores and garage sales are treasure troves
School giveโaways and library sales make it easy to grow a collection on any budget
Every story added to a childโs world is a gift that keeps giving. โค๏ธ
If youโd like help finding resources or getting started, please reach out to me โ Mrs. Parrilli. Iโm always happy to support this wonderful endeavor. ๐๐
Si estรก aprendiendo inglรฉs y/o necesita ayuda con la lectura, por favor comunรญquese con la Biblioteca Pรบblica del Condado de Martin.

Mrs. Brandtโs 2nd grade class learned how to share fairly by dividing pizza into equal parts. There were so many little chefs in the classroom today, cooking up math skills and teamwork! ๐ฉโ๐ณ
