The Elementary Cardboard Boat Race will be held on Saturday, May 17 at Sailfish Splash.
Students and families: put your creativity and teamwork to the testโ design boats out of cardboard to see who can float, race, and survive the splash zone.

The board room was full Tuesday night as Superintendent Michael Maine and our School Board honored the amazing achievements of our Odyssey of the Mind teams who advanced to State after an incredible showing at the Palms Regional Competition!
Superintendent Maine was also surprised with the prestigious Omer Award, recognizing his leadership and support for Odyssey of the Mind across our District. Out of 8 counties, Martin County leads the way in championing this powerful academic program!
Odyssey of the Mind teaches students essential life skills like collaboration, budgeting, time management, public speaking, and creative thinking. Itโs where future leaders are made!

While the NCAA March Madness Championship is just around the corner, weโre celebrating a different kind of victoryโacademic excellence!
Congratulations to Hobe Sound Elementary School, our MCSD March Madness IXL Champions! The Eagles soared to the top by bringing the most skills to proficiency through IXL.
Their final push was impressive, going head-to-head with Palm City Elementary School, with both schools bringing more than 7,000 grade-level skills to proficiency during the last stretch of the challenge!
This March Madness may have had only one champion, but in MCSD, every student who participated came out a winnerโsharpening their skills and growing their confidence along the way. ๐๐

As a part of our Everglades student education, we had the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast visit with 5๏ธโฃ therapy dogs on Friday. Students learned about animal care through the Human Society's suitcase program.
Grade 5๏ธโฃ students hosted a philanthropic project by collecting donations during lunch in the month of March. HSE collected $510 that was donated to The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, with fifth grade bringing in the most donations ๐ฐ.
