Our 8th grade Science teachers have been going above and beyond to help students prepare for their state assessment on May 19th 🔬📅

Mrs. Crossan and Mrs. Skerven collaborated to create engaging station review activities designed to reinforce key science concepts in an interactive way. Students rotated through multiple stations in both classrooms—and even extended their learning into the connecting science lab 🧪🏫

These stations gave students the opportunity to review content, collaborate with peers, and strengthen their understanding through hands-on learning and active engagement 💡🤝

We are excited to celebrate our Thunderbirds on the last day of school with a special PM3 Celebration Incentive by grade level! 🎉

Students who meet any of the following will earn the celebration:
📈 Show growth (10+ points) on PM3 in ELA or Math
⭐ Maintain a Level 4 or 5 on PM3 ELA or Math
🔬 Earn a 3 or higher on the Science or Civics PM3 Assessment

The celebration will include a fun-filled outdoor experience at the track with:
🎧 A live DJ
🍧 Ice pops
🏃‍♂️ Outdoor games and activities

This is our way of recognizing the hard work, growth, and dedication our students have shown all year long! ⚡

IMS competed in the District’s Annual Cardboard Boat Racing event 🚤📦 and what a day it was!

Mrs. Siters and Ezequiel Leandro proudly represented IMS and Altruismo (the Black House) and brought home a WIN 🏆—earning Best Club Print!

A huge shoutout to Mr. Nottage for designing the boat 🚤 and to Coach Dawedeit for creating the team shirts and logo 👕🎨—your creativity helped bring it all together!

We are so proud of our students and staff for their teamwork, school spirit, and creativity. What an awesome way to represent IMS! 👏

PM3 testing is right around the corner, and we are excited to give our students a Chance 2 Win!

Students who show up each day of testing will be entered into prize drawings. We have some great incentives lined up, including gift cards, headphones, art supplies, a skateboard, and more!

Students and families had the opportunity to learn more about the amazing programs, courses, and opportunities IMS has to offer, as well as explore the many clubs and organizations students can get involved in after school. 🎭🎨🤖🎶

A special highlight of the night—8 lucky future Thunderbirds also got an early surprise and found out which House they will be joining next year! 🏠⚡
